Equipment to modernize apprenticeship

The official launch of the 2026-2027 academic year for the Vocational Training and Apprenticeship Centers (CFPA) took place on 28 September 2026 in Djougou. On this occasion, the Djougou CFPA received a batch of equipment with a precise value of 241,412,138 CFA francs. This endowment was funded with the support of the World Bank.

In parallel, twelve institutions designated as reference centers were selected to also benefit from new equipment. This initiative is being implemented thanks to the support of the Fund for the Development of Continuing Vocational Training and Apprenticeship (FODEFCA).

Promoting women's integration

The ceremony highlighted women's access to technical fields. A group of 179 young women, trained under the ProFop program, received their Professional Qualification Certificates (CQP).

Furthermore, a list of 200 women awarded scholarships was officially handed over to Minister Awaou Baco. These scholarships are intended to fund their training in various technical and vocational trades.

Visit to local structures

Following the ceremony at the Djougou CFPA, the Minister visited the University Institute of Professional Education (IUEP), where the National Employment Agency (ANPE) supervises the training of several young people. The delegation then visited local businesses, including the small and medium enterprise "Espace Tissage de Djougou" and the carpentry and cabinetmaking workshop of Mr. Juste Yao.

The tour continued at the ANPE branch in Natitingou, where training on soft skills is provided in partnership with GIZ, before concluding with a visit to the agri-food SME Yetanri.
